Once your Communiti account has been verified you will be able to proceed to create a Stripe account.
The purpose of the Stripe account is to process payments and ensure the money gets deposited directly into your bank account securely.
Please follow the steps below to create your stripe account. If you already have a stripe account, please login using your existing username and password.
1. Click "Continue" to create a stripe account and link your bank account
2. Enter the email address you want to use for your stripe account
We recommend using the same email that you used to create your communiti account
3. Create a strong and secure password
4. You will need to configure 2 Factor Authentication
You can either use an authenticator app or you can use your phone number
5. Select your country and Business Structure
Business Types are listed in the dropdown, please select the one that best matches your business.
6. Provide the required information about your business
7. For Industry, please type in Sports and select "Recreational Camps"
Recreational Camps is the closest match to the sports industry
8. Please fill in a clear product description and follow the instructions on the screen
Stripe uses this information to determine your business type and category, so please provide a multiple sentence description of your services
9. Enter your personal information
10. Answer the ownership and Directors questions correctly. They must match the incorporation documents you have for your business.
This is a very important step so please make sure you take your time and do it correctly.
11. Add your bank account information
This is where the funds will be deposited
12. Add a statement descriptor
You can choose how you want your business to show up on users credit/debit card statements
13. Review and Verify all the information carefully
If any section is showing an information required field, please go in and complete the required steps. Sometime Stripe may ask you to upload your ID at this step.
14. Once you have completed the Stripe account creation, you will be redirected to your communiti app
Click on the continue button to complete the onboarding
You have successfully completed all the steps and your Communiti and Stripe accounts have been created.
You are all set to create and schedule your sessions on the Communiti marketplace.
